A young falcon was rescued by fire crews after getting trapped in netting - which left it hanging seven storeys above the ground. The juvenile peregrine falcon, nicknamed Metro, was spotted by a guest suspended between the two towers of a seaside hotel.

The young bird suffered feather damage but no breakages and is thought to be part of a family of falcons living in a nearby tower block in Brighton, East Sussex.
