These stunning pictures show a greedy puffin preparing to feast. The bird holds a large number of sand-eels in its beak, before returning to its nest to enjoy the tasty meal.

Puffins have small wings so they can easily dive under water to catch their tiny prey, but this makes flying tough and means they have to beat their wings hard to stay in the air. Photographer Roger Clark, 71, of Chandlers Ford, Hants, captured the pictures of the hungry bird on Skomer Island, Pembrokeshire.
