Millions of grains of rice are brushed into 100ft-long lines in a drying process which creates simple patterns on the ground. The rice, which has been boiled, is laid out to dry at a mill and workers brush them with massive leaves to ensure they do not burn in the hot sun.

The lines of yellow rice stretch out for 100ft (30metres) on the concrete. More than 2,000 people work eight hour days to organise the rice, which comes from 100 different mills, and successfully dry the food...
