Swan shows cygnet how it's done by Jeanette Rosenquist (2 images)
This majestic swan spreads its wings as it shows her young how to take off from a lake. The female mute swan was teaching her single cygnet how to fly around the marsh where they were born three months earlier. Photographer Jeanette Rosenquist spent four days lying on a stone near the water's edge to capture the scene in Smoerum, Denmark. It shows the bird with its neck lengthened upwards, wings outstretched, and tail perched on the surface of the water.
