SN_KING_CATCH_4.jpg
These kingfishers make a splash as they show off their hunting skills to catch a fresh fish for lunch. The pair of brightly coloured birds swoop underwater before getting into a flap over their food.

Two bleaks, a freshwater fish, were snapped up in a matter of seconds by the hungry birds. Once the fish were firmly locked in their beaks, they quickly flew off back to the nest to tuck into their meals.

The exciting fast-paced action showing the kingfisher couple, who are around four years old, took place in a lake in Lecco, north Italy. SEE OUR COPY FOR DETAILS.
