Pictured: On top of one of the mountains the sunlight gives the clouds and snow an orange glow.
As the sun catches the tops of these mountains they look as though they have been set on fire. A photographer had to scale up snow capped mountains nearly 19,000ft above sea level to capture these incredible pictures when the sun is rising and setting - casting deep red and orange lights over the peaks.
One of the mountains pictured includes Siula Grande, the same one featured in the film "Touching the Void" which documented Joe Simpson's and Simon Yates' almost fatal climb of the mountain. Photographer Eric Hodges managed to take these breathtaking images after climbing the mountains in the Peruvian Andes in subzero temperatures and also being constantly on the look out for falling ice.
