Anti-violence charities today slammed an app which encourages users to superimpose horrific injuries onto photographs and promotes itself with a picture of a battered woman's face.
Sold through the Apple iTunes App Store for 79p, Scar Booth allows those buying the app to place realistic looking scars, bruises, black eyes and lacerations on any face selected from their library of photos.
Shockingly there is a catalogue of 77 to choose from and the makers claim they all depict real injuries.
Images on the App Store advert show a picture of a woman without any injuries followed by a second photo showing her battered face with a black eye, a bruised cheek and wounds to her neck and nose. SEE OUR COPY FOR MORE DETAILS.
