Pictured: The young Japanese Macaque monkey swimming in the spring.
An adorable baby Japanese macaque monkey practices his yoga while taking a hot soak in a natural thermal bath. The youngster, who is just two years old, was one of around 30 monkeys enjoying the warmth of the pools and warms up his muscles with a stretch in the water.
Indeed, he was so flexible he could get his foot to his mouth to entertain the onlookers with his unique behaviour. The Japanese macaque monkeys - also known as snow monkeys - are the most northern primates living in the world.
Their amazing behaviour was witnessed at the Jigokudani Yean-Koen National Park near Nagano in Japan by wildlife photographer Anup Shah and his wife Fiona Rogers. SEE OUR COPY FOR DETAILS.
