SN_FROZEN_FOREST_1.jpg
These breathtaking pictures show a mountain forest after it has been struck by below freezing conditions. Stunning ice patterns cover trees up to 65ft tall and create an eerie white atmosphere all around the forest.

Ice forms perfectly on each individual branch and all the leaves completely transform from green to white. Temperatures in this forest on a Czech Republic mountain range are -4 degrees Celsius.

Keen photographer Jan Bainar, 20, braved the cold and took a four hour journey into the woods on the Pustevny ridge of the Beskydy Mountains to take the pictures. SEE OUR COPY FOR DETAILS.
