Pictured: A man takes a photo of the hot air balloons.
Four hot air balloons float above an orange sky as the silhouettes of thousands of temples provide a perfect backdrop.
The sunrise bathes Bagan, Myanmar, Burma, and the 2,200 temples in the area, in a golden light.
A hot air balloon flight is the best way to see the city and balloons will often take off at staggered times to avoid mid-air collisions.
Photographer Julia Wimmerlin visited one of the temples close to where the balloons take-off at around 6.30am to capture their flight. SEE OUR COPY FOR MORE DETAILS.
