As the sun rises, three young herons gracefully glide across the foggy water together. These birds are rarely seen together, as usually they are solitary animals.
The four-month-old birds were out hunting for their breakfast, in preparation for when they grow older and fly solo. Taken at the River Thames, near the Dartford crossing, Kent, the birds are heading to the RSPB reserve on the other side of the river. SEE OUR COPY FOR DETAILS.
