SN_UNDERWATER_DIVER2.jpg
The strong rays of the sun penetrate an underwater canyon - making a diver appear in silhouette against the illuminated backdrop of the water. Photographer Eiko Jones, 41, was surrounded by salmon as he dived to depths of up to 33-feet with friends and family. Massive 10ft boulders lined his narrow route along the crystal-clear Campbell River, on Vancouver Island, Canada. His snaps show the sun's rays being dispersed as they crossed the surface of the 20C water, and reflected off the scales of passing salmon and trout. The canyon is just 23ft wide at its narrowest point. Eiko, from Campbell River, said: "It starts out downstream quite wide and slowly constricts into the narrow part.
