Pictured: The ant on top of the snail.

An adventurous ant hops onto the back of a snail and hitches a ride across a puddle. Ignoring his unlikely passenger, the snail edges slowly across the water - carrying the insect for about 20 centimetres.

The Weaver ant peers over the edge of the snail at the puddle below, which must look like a lake from his perspective. Looking as though he doesn't want to get wet, the ant seems happy to travel at a snail's pace. The unusual pair were pictured in a garden in Sambas, Indonesia. SEE OUR COPY FOR DETAILS.
