A UKIP parliamentary candidate who gave away free sausage rolls at a party event is to be quizzed by police over claims he was trying to 'corruptly influence' votes. Electoral Commission rules state food and entertainment cannot be provided by election candidates if their provision is intended to influence votes - a criminal offence known as 'treating'.<br />
