A dozy bear was unable to catch a crafty fish, even when it bounced right off its nose. The salmon almost came to a grizzly end when it leapt out of the water, only to be confronted by the bear who was waiting for a fish to appear out of the river.
The Sockeye salmon was travelling up river from the ocean. Known as the salmon run, the fish travel from the ocean and battle their way up streams and rivers to deposit their young and then die. The photos were taken at Brooks River, in the Katmai National Park, Alaska, USA. SEE OUR COPY FOR DETAILS.
