Music fans heading to Glastonbury may want to think twice about keeping their festival wristbands on afterwards - as a scientist has revealed the shocking amount of bacteria on them.  The summer festival bands are often worn for months by fans as a fashion item - but laboratory tests have found that when they are left on they gather a staggering 20 times more bacteria than clothes do.<br />

And these photos show the shocking amount of bacteria found on them.   Microbiology professor Dr Alison Cottell tested festival wristbands and found that they have around 20 times more bacteria on them than clothes.  SEE OUR COPY FOR DETAILS.<br />
