SN_MANTIS_FLY_1.jpg
A praying mantis manages to hitchhike its way up a steep branch - on the back of a dragonfly. The clever insect preserves its energy while trying to reach the top of the branch by hopping on the back of the unwitting dragonfly.

It stays on the larger insect for four minutes and the dragonfly surprisingly did not react to it being on top. After getting a lift for four minutes, the praying manages even overtakes the dragonfly and emerges out in front as they both continue to climb.
IT worker Iwan Pruvic, from Tangerang, Indonesia, spotted the fascinating sequence in his back garden. SEE OUR COPY FOR DETAILS.
