Photographer Jorge Farfan struggled to see eye-to-eye with these spiders as he took close-up shots of their face - because they kept moving. The scary-looking creatures - like something from a science-fiction movie - tested the 33-year-old's patience while he snapped away.

But his perseverance paid off, as his photographs reveal their incredibly bright colours, marble-like eyes, and hairy faces. Jorge snapped the jumping, wolf, and lycosa spiders in a riverside field near his home in La Coruna, Spain. SEE OUR COPY FOR DETAILS.
