The Northern Lights glow green in a spectacular light show above a field of trees frozen solid with snow. Extremely cold night-time temperatures of -20C causes the thick snow to stick to the 8ft tall fir and pine trees which are lit up under the night sky.
Yet even during the day time when temperatures rise to -5C, the snow refuses to fall from the trees which have bent over due to the extra weight. Software engineer and entrepeneur Jaak Sarv took these amazing photos at night, sunrise and sunset at the Riisitunturi National Park in Northern Finland.
