SN_MACRO_FACES_9.jpg
These creatures look like they have come from the latest sci-fi movie - when in fact they are actually regular beetles and horseflies. In a series of extreme close-up photographs, the colourful alien-like creatures pose for the camera from just five centimetres away.
The unique pictures are spectacular examples of macro photography, a process where the size of the subject in the picture is greater than life size. Photographer and IT worker Iwan Susanto from Tangerang, Indonesia, spent ten minutes taking each picture. SEE OUR COPY FOR DETAILS.
