SN_SCI_FI_HIGHRES_10.jpg
These photogenic insects pose for the camera as if they are the stars of the latest sci-fi movie. The colourful insects - including a horsefly, soldierfly, wasp, jewel frog beetle, queen ant and tiger beetle - stay incredibly still despite the flash from the camera.

Viewers looking at the photographs are able to see the intricate detail of each unique insect because of a process called 'macro photography'. The smallest insect is just 1mm long and photographer Yudy Sauw, 34, took the pictures in his hometown of Tangerang, Indonesia. SEE OUR COPY FOR DETAILS.
