A group of dedicated farmers tirelessly climb up and down huge steps to collect rice after growing a staggering 1 million stalks. The men and women make their way up 20 levels to reach each land plot, where they've grown enough plain rice to eat throughout the year.
The workers, who live in Baan Pa Bong in Chiang Mai, Thailand, help each other out when it comes to gathering the rice. Each crop takes up to five months to grow on the land which is 1,000 metres above sea level and consists of around 80 acres. SEE OUR COPY FOR DETAILS.
