“C” stands for, Clearing off! This blue tit quickly darts off with its foraged seeds to avoid the threat of sparrowhawks. The unusual shot resembled the first letter of the photographer's name, Carl Bovis, who took the photo at the RSPB Greylake, Somerset. <br /> <br /> The nature photographer said, “Blue tits are regular on the reserve but so are sparrowhawks who will catch the small birds occasionally. For this reason, blue tits have a strategy when coming down for seed. They dive down, grab a seed in their beak and fly off again rapidly to eat the seed safely in cover.”<br /> <br /> “That's exactly what this blue tit was doing. They do not hang around, because it's dangerous to do so with sparrowhawks about.
