A British artist stuck in Thailand has spent his time constructing masterpieces from pebbles for locals to enjoy. Justin Bateman had only planned on staying in Chiang Mai for a week - but has remained there now for nearly ten months after the pandemic struck.

His pebble portraits include The Queen, Spanish painter Pablo Picasso, Michelangelo's David and a local farmer - who was bemused by his portrait. Mr Bateman, from Portsmouth, Hants, was staying in Bali when he travelled to Chiang Mai, in Thailand, to visit some friends. SEE OUR COPY FOR DETAILS.
