The new arrival is part of a conservation project focused on replenishing the declining numbers of the species.<br /> <br /> When they first hatch, the Cuban crocodiles are as small as 30cm, but will later grow to upwards of two metres when they are released into the wild. The photos were taken by Savannah Boan at the Criadero de Cocodrilos conservation site in Playa Larga, Cuba, where between 500 and 700 crocodiles hatch every year.
