Pictured: Project manager Katy England admires a miniature replica of Freddie Mercury's cape by Dame Zandra Rhodes next to a tablecloth dress named Cherished and Reused by Orsola de Catro, which are on display for the Fashioning Our World exhibition at The Salisbury Museum, Wilts.
The original cape was designed in the 1970s by Rhodes after the Queen frontman visited her studio in Bayswater with Brian May. It was first worn for a sell-out concert at Earls Court, Olympia. The miniature replica was made using an off cut of fabric from her studio.
Fashioning Our World aims to make use of The Salisbury Museum's extensive fashion collection of over 3,500 items dating from the last 300 years with many pieces using offcuts and spare fabrics from the archive.
The exhibition is on display from this Saturday the 10th of February until the 12th of May.
