Fashioning Our World at The Salisbury Museum

The piece was inspired by a wedding bodice from 1765 and was made using scrap fabric and discarded thread. According to a note left with the original bodice, it would have cost the bride one guinea per yard of fabric to make.<br />
<br />
Fashioning Our World aims to make use of The Salisbury Museum's extensive fashion collection of over 3,500 items dating from the last 300 years with many pieces using offcuts and spare fabrics from the archive. <br />
<br />
The exhibition is on display from this Saturday the 10th of February until the 12th of May. <br />
