A fox plunges head first into the snow - to catch some dinner. The keen hunter dived into 2 foot of snow in a bid to pounce on unsuspecting rodents moving underneath.<br />

Photographer Max Waugh said it was a "spectacular sight" as the fox stopped, listened for movement, and then leapt in the air to plough head first into the snow. The 38-year-old caught the energetic fox, who despite his best efforts was forced to move where the snow was shallower to be able to catch his food, at Yellowstone National Park, in Wyoming, USA.
