These red deer seem to be happily chatting away to jackdaws perched on them. They appear very tolerant of the birds which clean them of bugs and ticks.
Amateur wildlife photographer Stan Maddams captured the pictures after arriving at London's Bushy Park just after sunrise for the annual 'rut' - which takes place between September and November as stags lock antlers to win a mate. SEE OUR COPY FOR DETAILS.
