An osprey reflects perfectly in the water as it skims along the surface to clean its beak. The incredible moment was captured by photographer Andy Woo at Lake Washington, USA.
The 35 year old Law attorney said “I had just arrived with a friend and didn’t even have time to set up my camera before seeing this osprey! We thought hit was hunting, however the osprey had most likely just eaten and that this is the way many ospreys clean their beak and talons, they skim the surface of the water, dipping the tip of the beak and dragging the talons across the surface of the water to rinse them off.”

“This was my first time seeing this behaviour, so I'm very pleased to have captured it on camera, especially this specific moment as it skimmed across the glassy surface of the water. It was a beautiful moment”
