Rare colourful duck spotted in India by Saurabh Sirohiya

A beautifully coloured American wood duck has been spotted almost 10,000 miles away from its native home in North America, swimming in a pond in the city of Howrah, in West Bengal, India. <br /> <br /> The pictures were taken by photographer Saurabh Sirohiya in the neighbourhood of Bally in India. <br /> <br /> The 34 year old said “India has many native ducks, such as Lesser Whistling Duck, Ruddy Shelduck, Northern Shoveler. However the American wood duck is certainly not one of them!”<br /> <br /> “It is such a beautiful colour, however how it got here is not yet known.
