These intricately detailed pictures of wild animals look like photographs - but are in fact paintings. American artist Collin Bogle's extraordinary work portrays close up encounters with animals such as lions, snow leopards, wolves, eagles and bears.<br />
<br />
He uses photos of the animals as a reference and spends between two weeks and two months painstakingly creating each piece. Mr Bogle, who works out of his home in Seattle, Washington, in the United States, said: "My dad is an artist and was also a high school art teacher - so I started learning to paint as soon as I could hold a brush.
