The deer rut begins in Bushy Park, London captured in front of a glorious sunrise by an amateur photographer who only took up photography three months ago.

Lee Jeffery, 38, who is a tyre technician at ATS Euromaster only picked up a camera for the first time as a hobby in lockdown after being furloughed.

Lee said "I've been doing photography for about three months as I took it up during lockdown and made it part of my allocated time of exercise."

"This week I drove to Bushy Park which is about a 30 minute drive from my home in Battersea, South West London."

He capture these images of the deer at sunrise at around 5:30am (Tuesday 1st September) on a week which has seen the UK experience a misty start to the day on most mornings during the colder temperatures.

He added "The deer were roaring when I arrived as it was the start of the rut. I even spotted a couple of deer that were fighting."
