Vibrant fabrics hang from the ceiling of a workshop in Tokat, Turkey, displaying a craft which has been traditional for 650 years.
The image was taken by Suleyman Uzumcu, 34 from Tokat, Turkey.

Suleyman said, “On average, each of these workshops can produce 5000 shawls every day. Mainly, women use them for covering their heads, or as an accessory around their neck.”

“The shawls are dyed, printed, washed and then dried - the process takes about a day to complete.”
