Scores of brightly coloured hot air balloons carry eager tourists above an otherworldly-looking landscape covered with surreal rock formations.

The hot air balloon tours take off at the crack of dawn every day over Cappadocia, Turkey, and drift through the air at a height of up to 650ft.

Many tourists have travelled especially to see the 'Fairy Chimneys', which are tall, cone-shaped rock formations created by volcanic activity.
