A fox plunges head first into the snow - to catch some dinner. The keen hunter dived into 2 foot of snow in a bid to pounce on unsuspecting rodents moving underneath.

Photographer Max Waugh said it was a "spectacular sight" as the fox stopped, listened for movement, and then leapt in the air to plough head first into the snow.
