These young boys are so keen to emulate their cricketing heroes they play until dusk on a ploughed field, using sticks of corn as stumps.

The makeshift wicket in a small Pakistani village doesn't offer much in terms of bounce so the schoolboys are forced to bowl full tosses with a tennis ball but that does not put them off.

The photos show the enduring love of the game in a country where cricket is almost a way of life for many.
