This mother bear shows her cub the best way to cure an itchy back as they share a tree to have a scratch. The grizzly bears were pictured at the Nakina River in British Columbia, Canada, where they used several trees in the area to scratch themselves for a few minutes before moving on.

In one endearing moment, the cub climbed a tree and the mother bear played a game of peek-a-boo by leaning round the trunk.
