Thousands of grapes are left to dry in the baking hot sun after being grown and washed. Three farmers work their way around fields, checking the quality and size of the grapes as they dry.

Depending on the weather conditions, the grapes can be left in the sunshine for up to 15 days to reach their optimum condition. Temperatures in the region of Manisa, Turkey, reach 45 degrees Celsius. Grapes there are sold on for wine or for sale as dried fruit, such as sultanas.
