A small lava lizard uses a marine iguana as its look-out point as it sits on top of the larger reptile's head.

The little lizard helps clean and pick off the marine iguana's shedding skin and the abundance of flies surrounding the iguana provides a feast for the smaller reptile.

Veterinary technician student Carla Rhodes travelled to Punta Espinoza, Fernandia Island, Galapagos, when she saw the marine iguana, who was around 5ft long, and his unusual hat.
