Amazing images captured by a drone show strange and stunning formations shooting through a frozen lake.

The lines which look like a network of tunnels are actually giant cracks that open up and then freeze over again.

The cracks which look like the ice has been shot at with bullets are caused by stresses - including temperature changes, wind and waves.

The photos were taken in the Reykjaness peninsula of Iceland, of the Kleifarvatn Lake.
