A Peregrine Falcon chick, which is about 50 days old, stretches its wings and prepares to fly from the roof of Winchester Cathedral for the first time.

Photographer, Phil Gould, said: "The parents, who mate for life, have been at the Cathedral for three years but this is the first time they have successfully had chicks and reared them".

Mr. Gould said: "The Peregrine Falcon is known as the bird of Kings, so it is poignant to see this at the old Capital...
