Workers create beautiful patterns as they begin the long process of making rice. Under the boiling sun, they spread the harvested rice crop across fields to dry - routinely turning it over.

Once it is dry, it is collected, packed into dome-like shapes and covered with a triangular bamboo basket. Amateur photographer Hedayet Sarker pictured the process in Kalishima village, near his home in Brahmanbaria, Bangladesh.
