Workers rake salt in the early hours of the morning. The fields cover a vast area and each one is able to produce at least a tonne of the mineral.

The workers start before dawn to avoid the humid heat of the midday sun and use rakes to gather the salt in piles before transporting it to dry land. Amateur photographer Pham Huy Trung captured the beautiful images in Long Dien commune, Ba Ria Vung Tau province, in South Vietnam.
