These pictures look like paintings of forest trees at first glance, but they are actually thousands of little green worms sunbathing at the beach.

The three millimetre-long "Mint Sauce Worms" come out of their burrows in the sand at low tide to adsorb sunlight, forming strange patterns on the sea bed.
