A group of tortoises' dangle from a helicopter as they are airlifted back into the wild after years of captivity.

The century old Pinzon Island Tortoises are being taken to the exact spot they were removed from years ago when their numbers started dropping rapidly due to a major rat infestation.

They were taken to the Galapagos National Park’s giant tortoise captive breeding centre on Santa Cruz Island, Ecuador, where their numbers could rise again.
