A seagull's appears to be momentarily distracted by its reflection as it dips it's feet into water in a pond at Ryan’s Field RSPB nature reserve in Hayle, Cornwall.
RSPB volunteer photographer Kevin Bowers, 57, a courier from Cornwall captured the black headed gull in winter plumage whilst visiting the reserve.
Kevin said: “I was on my lunch break when I took this picture so I didn’t have enough time to appreciate the angle at first glance. It wasn’t until I got home and looked at the picture on my PC that I though: wow, that looks good! And my wife agreed!”
