An incredible split in a frozen lake makes it look as if the world is cracking in half.
As the sun begins to rise an orange glow sweeps across the lake, which is full of spectacular cracks that run all across it.
The cracks run for hundreds of metres from one side of the lake to the other.
The stunning pictures of Lake Baikal in Russia were taken by freelance photographer Alexey Trofimov.
Alexey, 44, from Bratsk in Russia, described the lake as "magical" and "fell in love" with the spectacular patterns the cracks created. SEE OUR COPY FOR MORE DETAILS.
