A series of photographs of ceilings from historic buildings show off kaleidoscopic patterns. Italian photographer Sandro Santioli captured the mesmerising and intricately decorated interiors of some of Istanbul's grandest places of worship.
The symmetry of the designs adorning ceilings in Topkapı Palace, Sultan Ahmed Mosque and Hagia Sophia Grand Mosque create kaleidoscopic patterns. As well as Istanbul, Turkey, Mr Santioli photographed ceilings at the Amber Fortress in Jaipur, India. SEE OUR COPY FOR DETAILS.
