A bright orange butterfly risks being snapped up for dinner as it lands on tip of a caiman's snout. The sharp toothed reptile gives a sideways glance as the Julia Butterfly uses the caiman to harvest some much-needed minerals.
The insect has actually landed on the spectacled caiman to feast on the minerals coming from his nostrils. Wildlife photographer Konrad Wothe, 63, was in Pantanal, Mato Grosso, Brazil, when he spotted the caiman's colourful visitor. SEE OUR COPY FOR DETAILS.
